Kustom Signals, along with our other Public Safety Equipment companies, will be attending the 18th Worldwide Exhibition of Internal State Security, Milipol, in Paris, November 19th through 23rd, 2013. The Milipol exhibition seeks to bring together the companies and government departments responsible for the safety and security of people and assets.
Milipol, beginning in the 1970s, was organized in Paris as a result of the growing demand for information in the field of internal security. French manufacturers supplying police equipment felt that they had very limited contact at an international level and that they did not have a communication or promotional platform to spotlight innovative technologies.
In 1984, the International Milipol Committee was formed. The goal of the committee was to promote security technology and equipment. It was this same year that the first International Milipol Show was organized. This show was the principal information and public relations tool open to professionals in the field of security. Attendees included manufacturers, end-users, buyers and exhibitors from all regions of the world. The somewhat confidential topic of police, civil and military security and the equipment available was unknown to the general public but spotlighted by this event.
The Milipol Show evolved in a climate fighting against such growing issues as criminality, drugs, organized crime, terrorism, and economic espionage. “Today, the show is recognized for its professionalism and the quality of exhibitors and visitors attending from around the world, all from the various security sectors. “
